How to Keep Active While You’re Traveling from FLL Airport

Active FLL Airport TravelerGetting into an active routine at home is hard enough. You don’t want to lose that momentum when you’re traveling from FLL Airport, but it’s hard. Not only is your routine thrown off, but also you might not have access to resources you’re comfortable using. Don’t let that get in your way. It’s easier than you think to stay active while you travel without using the hotel gym. And it’ll make it that much easier to get back into your routine at home.

Skip the Elevator

We hear this all of the time, but how often do we take the advice? When we are at home and know we are able to get a good work out in, we might opt for the elevator or the escalator. But if you’re not sure if you will be able to get a run in, you’ll want to take every available opportunity to stay active. So take the stairs or at least walk up the escalator if you’re on a time crunch.

Walk, Walk, Walk

Walking to your destination has double the benefits when you’re traveling. It keeps you active and it gives you a local’s perspective. You might stumble upon your new favorite coffee shop or boutique. As long as you have the time and the area is safe, walk.

Stretching

Take 30 minutes in the morning to stretch. From toe touches, arm reaches, to yoga poses, stretching doesn’t require a lot of space and it will get the blood flowing. It’s good to do this in the morning, especially if the bed isn’t what you’re used to at home.

Videos

You don’t have to pack a bunch of DVDs with you to get in a good workout. With the Internet you’re able to find a ton of workout videos that don’t require free weights. Whether you are looking for a quick 20-minute video or something more in depth, you can find it.
