Toronto, Canada

If you’re looking to get out of the country, Toronto has a lot going on during Labor Day weekend. They are having their annual Canadian National Exhibition (CNE). Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
Don’t discount Wisconsin as a must visit destination this Labor Day weekend. The Midwest has some great vacation spots and natural beauty (see our post about the Best State Parks in Minnesota here). Between Chicago and Milwaukee, Lake Geneva a getaway for our outdoor enthusiasts. You can enjoy a boating day on the lake, kayak, or just layout on the public beaches. For a little more activity try horseback riding or tee off at one of their many top-rated golf courses.
Bar Harbor, Maine
There’s always a great small town that makes the list for Labor Day destinations. This year Bar Harbor is it. You’ll want to explore the town and all of its little shops and restaurants. Don’t forget to get some homemade ice cream while you there. If you’re up for some exploration, take the short drive to Acadia National Park. You can drive up to the summit or hike it. If you want to enjoy the scenery and are looking for an easier hike, Jordan Pond is the spot.
The Bahamas

This is an easy escape for our Ft. Lauderdale Airport travelers. You can go to Nassau and get a day-pass to Atlantis’ water park or relax with a frozen drink on the beach. If you’re a frequent traveler to Nassau try island hopping or finding a new local restaurant!
New York, New York
While many New Yorkers are heading out of the city to celebrate Labor Day, you can enjoy a city that’s a little less crowded than usual. Plus you can find some great deals on hotels. Catch a show or walk through Central Park. We all know there’s something for everyone in New York City.
