There’s always a long list of things to get done before you head on any trip. It can seem overwhelming at times. From booking travel and airport parking to packing just a carryon, there’s so much to do! There are certain pretravel checklist items we all know i.e. pack our medications in our personal item, check in to the flight, and have all of our travel documents and identification ready. But there are other pretravel checklist items that are often forgotten until the last minute. These are the ones you don’t want to have to scramble to get done. Here’s our PreTravel Checklist you never want to forget.

Scheduling Bill Payments
Imagine you’ve scored the best airfare prices and you’ll be traveling rom the 25th through the 5th. What do you need to remember? To pay your rent, mortgage, etc. We can get so caught up in planning our trip that we forget to handle things at home. Setting up a one-time auto pay or prepaying your bills in advance is a must. This applies to any bills that will be due while you’re away. If you need to pay them while you’re on your trip, set a reminder on your phone to make sure you don’t forget.
Make Arrangements for Deliveries
Too many people have reported that their packages have been stolen off their front porch. And this even happens when they are at home! You don’t want to advertise that you’re away by having packages and newspapers pile up. Make arrangements to hold deliveries or have a friend or neighbor collect them for you.
Check Vaccination Requirements
Traveling overseas is not something that’s familiar to everyone. It adds a whole other pretravel checklist. One of the things you need to take care of is finding out if there are vaccination requirements for the country you are visiting. You may also want to speak with your doctor to see if they recommend any additional vaccinations that may not necessarily be required such as cholera or malaria.
Unplug Electronics
If you’re leaving Florida during the hurricane season you will definitely want to unplug your big ticket electronic items. And honestly this applies to any time you’re leaving your home for an extended amount of time. If Florida weather is anything, it’s unpredictable. You’ll want to at least unplug computers, TVs, and expensive speakers/audio equipment. A huge storm could come at any time and you don’t want to have to worry about a power surge destroying your electronics while you are gone. Just unplug them.
