Spirit Airlines is a Miramar-based discount airline. They will be introducing a nonstop flight from Fort Lauderdale to Cali, Colombia. Flights from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport will land at Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport. The debut flight will be on December 20th, 2018. It is Spirit’s fifth route to Colombia. Their other routes include Bogotá, Medellín, Cartega, and Armenia. In addition to this new route, there are some other new routes you should know about.
Getting to Japan
Japan Airlines will bring a new nonstop flight to Tokyo from Seattle. They will be the third carrier to connect Seattle with Japan, bringing travelers more choices and better rates. Daily flights begin March 2019. If you’re a frequent flyer of Alaska Airlines you could be in luck. Japan Airlines has a partnership with Alaska Airlines.
Texas to France
Air France is returning to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) for a nonstop flight to Paris’s Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG). This is the first time in 18 years that Air France will have flown out of DFW. There will be five flights a week to get you to the City of Lights.
Tampa to Amsterdam
Delta Airlines will be starting a new year-round flight from Tampa International Airport (TPA) to Amsterdam Schiphol. It will debut on May 23, 2019. The flight takes off at 9:25pm and lands the next day at 12:45 pm. It is Delta’s second direct flight to Amsterdam; the other is out of Orlando. This route is really exciting for travelers out of Ft. Lauderdale Airport. TPA is a quick and often times very cheap plane ride away from FLL.
