While we are huge proponents of saving the most money while you travel (we are an offsite airport parking provider after all) it’s nice to indulge in the finer sides of air travel. One of those luxuries is flying in business class seats, especially when you’re saving money on your airport parking and accommodations. But you don’t have to pay business class prices to score business class seats. If you want your next flight to include complimentary champagne, meals, and comfy seats, try our tricks to finding the best deals.

Use Points
Did you know you can pay for your ticket with your credit card and then use points to upgrade? This is a great way to maximize the value of your points. Airlines have been offering some great sales this Fall travel season already and it doesn’t make sense to use points on a cheap fare. Instead use your points to upgrade into business class seats. Bonus: If you sign up for one of the great travel credit cards. Many are offering huge welcome bonus points for simply using the credit card. 80,000 to 100,000 points can translate into a lot of free upgrades.
Take Advantage of Fluctuations
The price of business class changes more often than you’d think. Always sign up for an airline’s loyalty program and elect to get notifications for promotional sales. There are also websites and apps like SkyScanner that monitor prices for specific routes for you.
Embrace Spontaneous Travel
Another great way to score business class seats for economy prices is by simply being spontaneous. Delta Vacations recently had a SkyMiles promotion that doubled the value of points if you booked roundtrip fare and a hotel through their Vacations package deals. But the promotion lasted for only a week. AirFareWatchDog.com is a website that will give you last minute notifications for great prices on flights.
Make Your Own Business Class
Business class is only offered on the major airlines, but there are times when flying budget just makes sense. If you’re flying on one of these airlines you can “make your own” business class by purchasing a premium seat. You’ll receive early boarding privileges and be able to enjoy bigger, more comfortable seats. Some budget airlines will still charge for snacks and drinks, but even if you indulge in one or two you could still be saving more than flying business class with a major airline. Just make sure you do your research in advance.
Ask
While it’s getting harder to get free upgrades, especially if you’re not at the highest level of an airline’s loyalty program, it doesn’t hurt to ask. Just be polite and give it a try.
