Finding FLL Economy Parking

FLL economy parking at the airport used to be $7.50 per day and was a great option for travelers. However, the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport closed the economy parking lot. Anyone parking at the airport is forced to park in the garage at double the cost or more. There are several problems with this, the least of which is demand. Instead of giving people a choice of where to park, they are now forcing everyone to park in the same garage, with a limited number of spaces. Currently, daily garage parking is at least $15 per day.

Having everyone in the garage will ultimately bring in more revenue for the airport, it can easily raise stress levels for travelers. Travel expenses are increased and spaces are limited. These changes will impact longterm travels as well as travelers who may be running late for their flight. Not everyone has a way of getting a ride to the airport and this move may encourage travelers to fly out of other airports if they can’t find a suitable option. The airport states they will construct a new economy lot, but they haven’t released a completed date. Don’t let this change force you to choose another airport. The FLL Airport is still a terrific airport with new renovations and flights opening all summer long. Enjoy these perks without paying more for parking by parking at an alternative lot.
